The Island of Burano- Venice, Italy
Updated: Jan 20, 2021
The city immersed in the sea- Venice! We stayed at the Venezia Camping village, 10 minutes bus ride to the city center. There is something peacefully beautiful about buildings in the sea. We tranquility of this place through the Gondola ride. If you travel to Venice and not experience this ride, then you are missing the whole point. The tour in the little private boat was worth every penny. It was nice and intimate. We were able to see so many structures including the Marco Polo building. We were also able to tour the three most famous Islands, Murano, Burano and Torcello.
Murano well known for glass making skills. We enjoyed a presentation and experienced the glass making process! Then there was Torcello , honestly not very convinced it was worth the hustled 7 minutes walk to see an old not very impressive cathedral lol.
This is Burano known for its lace work and colored houses intended for fisherman to be able to identify their homes in the typically foggy mornings as they return from fishing. Beautiful houses, very colorful. The weather was scorching, definitely wrong dress code but the views and experience were nothing less than magical!
